Come out to the Maples Park for the 2nd Annual City of Crestwood sponsored Holiday LIGHT UP event!
More activities than last year! Event starts at 5pm and ends at 7pm. Parking for special needs only at the main gate entrance. All others please park at the gravel lot next to the park at 6431 Railroad Avenue. If lot is full, more parking can be found at PNC Bank, the Arts Center or Crestwood Elementary.
Starting at 5pm, kids can make ornaments in the festive Diebel Barn FREE courtesy of Oldham County Public Library. Take an ornament home for your tree and hang one at the park tree! There will also be a Giant Candyland game outside the Barn to play and an opportunity to visit a re-created North Pole at the park. Get your face painted FREE courtesy of local Girls Scouts! Fire pits will be ablaze (and safely managed by South Oldham and Pewee Valley Fire Departments) where your family can get cozy and roast FREE s’mores courtesy of the City of Crestwood. Sip on some of the best hot cocoa FREE courtesy of Crestwood United Methodist Church and if you bring a non-perishable item to donate, you will receive a FREE cookie. Donations will be given to Dare to Care Food Bank.
At 5:15pm, a special holiday performance will be given by the Christian Education Consortium Choir followed by holiday caroling within the park.
At 6:45pm, the countdown to LIGHT UP will begin and conclude with a special celebrity drive through.
